Welcome to the latest Pentito round! The wait is finally over and we're excited to see everyone back on the streets. This round introduces a wide range of improvements, new features, balance changes, and an entirely new endgame system that will change the way the game is played.
Here's what's new in this version:
- It is now possible to browse further back through the list of deceased residents, ensuring you never miss a fallen player.
- The residents list has been expanded and can now display deceased accounts, while also allowing you to sort players from oldest to newest or newest to oldest. This makes it easier than ever to keep track of new arrivals, fallen rivals, and to see whether you've finally surpassed an old enemy in account points.
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and round records have been added. These records provide new ways to compete and prove yourself, allowing even underdogs to stand out and demonstrate their dominance regardless of their position on the overall rankings.
- A brand new casino game has been added. You can now challenge the house in a game of Higher or Lower using dice and test your luck for a chance at greater rewards.
- Spot Attacks now allow you to optionally deploy a car, slightly increasing your chances of carrying out a successful attack.
- Spot Sabotages have been reworked. Deploying a car is now mandatory, as you'll need a quick getaway once the sabotage has been carried out. In addition, sabotage actions now have twice the cooldown of a regular attack, making timing and strategy more important than ever.
- Players can now own multiple spots at the same time. However, when owning several spots within the same city, the protection offered by your account is divided across them. Expanding your empire comes with increased risks and requires careful management.
- Time now plays an important role throughout Pentito. Crew jobs, heists, and races are affected by the in-game time of day, meaning certain activities may perform better or worse depending on when they're carried out. Strategic planning can provide a significant advantage.
- Cities have become more important than ever before. Ammo buy and sell prices, as well as all smuggling prices, are now determined by location. Some cities may offer significantly higher prices, while others provide cheaper alternatives. Certain spots within cities have also received profit boosts due to their popularity. Choosing the right city to operate from is now a key strategic decision.
- We've also introduced an entirely new endgame system. To win Pentito, your crew must control every spot in Los Angeles for 12 consecutive hours. If one or more spots are lost during this period, the countdown timer will pause for one hour, giving your crew a chance to reclaim the lost territory before the race for victory continues.
In addition to all of these changes, we've addressed a number of commonly reported issues. Discord and Telegram notifications now correctly trigger when a player is killed, rank displays have been fixed for deceased players, and NPC car listings will now remain visible as intended.
Good luck, build your empire, dominate your rivals, and perhaps become the crew that takes control of Los Angeles. The streets are waiting.
