Every stock in Pentito has a live price, previous price, share availability and ownership spread across the player base. When you buy, the game checks how many shares are still available, whether you are over the company or portfolio limits and whether you can actually afford the full order once fees are included.
That gives the market more structure than a simple “invest money and wait” system. You are trading into a capped exchange with real restrictions, not dumping infinite cash into a placeholder number.
Timing matters because prices move and trades can lock the stock
Prices update continuously and the interface warns you if the stock moved between the moment you prepared the order and the moment you try to confirm it.
