A spot in Pentito is a real business with money, pressure and upkeep
Every owned spot has a business layer behind it. Pentito tracks the spot's status, protection level, daily profit and vault value, so owning one means managing an active piece of the city economy rather than just claiming a name on the map.
That also makes spots vulnerable. Rivals can attack for damage and cash, sabotage them to push protection down or launch full takeovers once the defenses collapse. Because the vault sits inside the spot, a profitable business is automatically also an attractive target.
Protection is managed by presence, repairs and favors
Owners can keep a spot stronger by repairing its protection back to 100, but repairs cost money and run on a 30-minute cooldown. Pentito scales the repair bill to the damage taken, with real costs that can climb from small patchwork to serious recovery spending.
You can also involve other players through favor guards. An active guard who is alive, in the city and not hiding in recovery or safehouse protection makes the business harder to crack. That means spot defense is partly about trust and local presence, not only about raw ownership.
Casinos turn the basement into a higher-risk money engine
If you own a spot in the correct city, Pentito lets you renovate the basement into a casino for $250,000. The game offers seven casino types, including Roulette, Dice, Horse Race, Number Game, Slot, Blackjack and Hi-Lo, and each type can only exist once per city.
Once opened, all house profit and player payouts run through that spot's vault. Owners can tune minimum and maximum bets, but if the vault cannot cover a payout the casino shuts down for four hours. That creates a real business risk: a busy casino can grow your spot value fast, but a badly funded one can embarrass you and lock its doors. Pentito also keeps the casino tied to the spot after takeover, so the property itself remains strategically important long after opening day.
Spots & Casinos Frequently Asked Questions
Owning a spot gives you a city business with its own protection, daily profit and vault cash. That business can be repaired, guarded, attacked, sabotaged or taken over by other players.
A player-owned spot can be renovated into a single casino type for that city. Pentito then routes casino profit and payouts through the spot vault, lets the owner set bet limits and temporarily closes the casino if the vault cannot cover a payout.
Yes. Family-controlled spots can tie into larger city influence, guarding favors and spot combination bonuses such as logistics, nightlife or intelligence chains inside a family city.
