Races

Street Races is where egos, engines and bad decisions meet. From here you either start your own race or jump into someone else’s.

You pick how many racers you want, invite residents by name or flip the switch to make it public and let anyone in your city join. Public means risky: anyone in your city can join before your friends do. Seats fill fast and no one gets reserved spots. If you get an invite yourself, this same page turns into your inbox: you see who called you out, where the race is happening and who else is lining up before you accept or decline.

Once you’re in, the page walks you through every step. First it checks if you even have a car in your home garage. If you do, you get a car picker where you can search through your rides and lock one in. When everyone has accepted and chosen a car, the line-up view shows every racer, their car, speed and damage. The race can only start once there are enough players with a confirmed car; until then you see exactly who’s ready and who’s holding things up. After the race finishes, the same page shows the winner and how much driving experience you earned, plus a timer if you have to wait before racing again as nobody keeps burning rubber forever.

FAQ

How do I start a race?
Pick the number of racers, fill invites if you want and hit Create Race. If you tick “public”, the race becomes visible to the entire city.

What’s the difference between invited and public races?
Invited races only accept the players you typed in. Public races appear for everyone in your city and fill on a first-come, first-served basis,  even faster than your friends might react.

Can I mix invites and public at the same time?
Yes. Invited players get a private invite, everyone else sees it publicly. But no one has reserved seats: if a random player joins before your friend accepts, the spot is gone.

Why can’t I join a race I see on the page?
It’s either full, closed, from another city or you are on race cooldown. You must also not currently be in any race state (invited, waiting, starting, finished).

Why can’t I select a car yet?
You only get to choose once the race lobby is fully formed, meaning all invites resolved and all racers accounted for. Before that, it stays locked.

What if I have no cars available?
You cannot race without a car in your current city’s garage. The page warns you and offers a shortcut to your garage or lets you leave the race.

Why can the creator kick players?
The creator manages the lobby. If a racer doesn’t accept the invite or never picks a car, the creator can remove them so the race can actually start.
