This is where the game stops being friendly. Murder is not a mini-game. It is the reset button on someone else’s life. You pull the trigger, they wake up at the bottom again.
To even think about a hit, a few things have to line up.
You need a target.
Targets do not magically appear. You hire detectives, they find a rival, and once the intel lands, that name shows up in the hit list. No detectives, no target, no hit. Simple.
You need gear.
No weapons, no murder. You visit the armory, equip a handgun and or a machine gun, and keep an eye on their condition. Burned out hardware misfires at the worst possible moment. A vest helps you walk away when a job gets loud. It will not make you immortal, but it might keep you out of a pine box.
You need a car.
Every hit ends with you staying or you leaving. The game assumes you like leaving. You must have a repaired car selected as a getaway car in the garage. No working ride, no attempt. The car’s speed, seats and damage all matter when things go sideways.
You need freedom to act.
Beginner protection keeps fresh accounts from being executioners. For the first days you are under a shield. You cannot kill, even if you want to. After a coma, you get temporary kill protection too. That keeps you safe but also locks you out of planning hits until the timer runs out. On top of that there is a kill cooldown. After a shot, the system makes you breathe. Cooldown ready means you can go again. Cooldown active means you wait.
When everything is green, you plan a hit.
You pick a tracked target from the list. If a name is marked on cooldown, they were just shot at, and the system will not let you chain attempts instantly. You set how many bullets you want to use, up to the limit of your magazines. If you leave it empty, the game leans toward a full, legal loadout. Then you confirm your getaway car and commit.
The outcome is not just hit or miss.
Defender can take no damage. They can take light or heavy damage. They can end up in a coma. Or they die. If you kill a player, half of their cash in hand transfers to you. They restart the round from the bottom but with a faster rank gain to get back into the game. You do not erase them. You just shove them down the stairs. Hard.
Every attempt is logged.
Hit Activity shows who shot who, how many bullets were used, how much damage was done, and whether there was a response. It is your paper trail. You can scroll through it and see your history of bad decisions and lucky breaks.
You also decide how you behave when you are on the receiving end.
Defense Behavior lets you choose. Shoot back or try to escape. Shooting back spends your bullets and can drop your attacker into a coma or a coffin. Trying to escape leans on running rather than returning fire. Neither option is safe. You pick the kind of risk you are willing to live with.
FAQ
What are Kill Skill rewards?
When you successfully kill another player, you earn Kill Skill based on your target's rank:
Good to know:
Why can’t I plan any hits?
It can be for several reasons.
Do I need detectives for every murder?
Yes. Murder in this system is not random clicking. Detectives give you the location and unlock the target as a name you can select. No investigation, no entry in your hit list. If your list is empty, you visit Detectives first.
What is kill cooldown?
After a hit attempt the system starts a timer. While that timer is active, you cannot immediately fire again. It stops endless spam shoots and gives both sides a breathing window. When the page says kill cooldown ready, you are cleared for another attempt. When it says active, you wait.
Why are some targets marked with cooldown in the dropdown?
Those are people who were just shot at. The system protects against instant repeat attempts on the same target. While their personal cooldown is running, you cannot choose them again and they stay greyed out.
What happens when I kill another player?
You take half of the cash they were carrying. The rest vanishes with the mess. The victim dies and restarts the round at the bottom ranks, but with a rank speed boost so they can climb faster than a brand new account. You gain the kill record and whatever satisfaction you get from wrecking their evening.
What is the difference between coma and death?
Coma means the body is down but the character is still in the round. They are locked out for a period, lying in a hospital bed, unable to act. Death means the round life is over. They respawn as a new identity in the same round, with that rank speed bonus, and you collect the kill on your statistics.
Do bullets always matter?
Yes. The amount and the quality of your weapon both matter. Too few bullets and you might scratch the target instead of dropping them. More bullets and stronger guns push the odds in your favor, but nothing is a guarantee. The defender’s gear and vest soak part of the damage.
What does my vest actually do in a murder attempt?
Your vest is pure defense. When someone shoots at you, it tries to eat some of the bullets for you. Better protection and better durability mean more of the incoming fire gets stopped before it reaches your health. When the vest is almost broken, its help is minimal. If you walk around with a vest at five percent, you are basically wearing hope.
How does Defense Behavior work?
You pick how your character reacts by default when attacked. Shoot back means you return fire as long as you have bullets and a gun. You might kill the attacker, put them into a coma, or at least hurt them. Try to escape means the system leans more into evasion than trading bullets. You might dodge the worst of it, but you also never put the attacker in the ground.
You can switch behavior whenever you like, but whatever is set at the moment of the attack is what the game uses.
Why did my hit do no damage at all?
Several reasons. The defender could be heavily geared. Your gun condition might be low. You might have used too few bullets. Their luck might have simply beaten yours. The system translates all that into outcomes like no damage, some damage, coma, or killed. No damage means everything stacked against you on that shot.
Can I just spam hits on the same person?
No. Cooldowns and protections get in the way. Targets have a per-player cooldown after being shot at, and if you actually kill them, they restart as a fresh account. At that point you would need detectives again and you would be hitting a different life, not the same run.
Is murder required to win the round?
It is one way to play, not the only way. A lot of serious players use murder as a tool, not a lifestyle. You can build wealth, power, and rank without shooting at every shadow. When you do use it, make it count. Every hit invites attention, revenge, and new names on your own file.
