This joint is the city’s holding pen, and the tabs on top are your switchboard.
You’ve got two tabs: Jail and Settings. Jail shows you who’s behind bars right now. Settings is where you fine-tune how the whole operation behaves, but the muscle work happens right here on this page.
Every prisoner in the block shows up as a card. On the left you see a face: normal residents use their profile photo, Street Muscle use their own mugshot from the muscle roster. Next to that you get the name, and if they’re not an NPC you can click their name to pull up their profile. Gang members show their family tag right after the name so you know exactly whose toes you’re stepping on.
Under that you see why they’re locked up, and how long they’ve got until the door swings open. The time left countdown keeps ticking, so you always know whether you’re rescuing someone with seconds left or hours to go.
On the right you get your tools: Breakout and Bail.
Breakout is the loud option. You try to spring them the hard way. If it goes smooth, they’re out and grateful. If it goes bad, you’re the one eating the heat. The info block at the bottom tells you your exact chance of getting caught when you make a breakout move.
Bail is the clean option. You pay cash, the guards look the other way, and the target walks out the front door. The button always shows the bail price for that prisoner. If bail confirmation is enabled, your first click just asks if you’re sure. Only confirming actually spends the money and cuts them loose.
Targets can be regular residents, NPCs, or Street Muscle. Muscles use their own muscle id behind the scenes, but the actions are the same for you: Bail or Breakout, your call.
If a confirmation flow is turned on for bail, you’ll see a small two-button setup: Confirm Bail and Cancel. Confirm finishes the job, Cancel walks it back and leaves the prisoner where they are.
At the bottom of the list there’s a small info panel that reminds you what’s going on: everyone currently locked up is shown, you can rescue a friend, sabotage a rival, or just let them rot. It also shows your breakout caught chance as a percentage. If you’re running a revenge perk that lowers that risk, the game tells you that your perk is cutting that chance down.
If there’s nobody inside at all, the app doesn’t waste your time. You just get a simple line: the cells are empty, the streets are quiet, and that never lasts very long in a town like this.
FAQ
What does this page show?
This page lists everyone currently sitting in jail: regular residents, NPCs, and Street Muscle who got themselves locked up.
Why do some pictures look different?
Normal accounts and NPCs use profile photos. Street Muscle use their own portrait pulled from the muscle artwork.
How does “Time left” work?
Time left shows how long until their jail time expires. It’s a live countdown based on in_jail_until, so the timer keeps moving while you’re on the page.
What does the Breakout button do?
Breakout starts a jailbreak attempt for that target. If you succeed, they walk free. If you fail, you can be caught and pay the price. Your current caught chance for breakouts is shown in the info panel at the bottom.
What does the Bail button do?
Bail spends your money to free the target instantly. No breakout roll, no caught chance, just a clean release in exchange for cash. The button text includes the bail amount for that prisoner.
Why do I sometimes see “Confirm Bail” and “Cancel” instead of just one bail button?
If bail confirmation is enabled for your account, the first click on the bail button only arms the action. You then see Confirm Bail and Cancel. Confirm actually pays and frees the prisoner. Cancel backs out without spending a dollar.
Does the breakout caught chance apply to every prisoner?
Yes. The percentage shown in the info panel is your current chance of being caught whenever you attempt a breakout from this page, regardless of which prisoner you pick.
How do revenge perks affect Jail?
If you have an active revenge perk that lowers your caught chance, the page tells you in the info block that your perk is reducing that risk. The chance displayed already reflects that reduction.
Can I bail or break out Street Muscle?
Yes. Street Muscle in jail appear in the same list. They show their muscle name and the owning username. You can use Breakout or Bail on them just like you would on any other prisoner.
Does bailing someone have any risk besides money?
No. Bail only costs you cash. The risk of getting caught exists only on breakout attempts, not on bail operations.
