This page shows everything you carry on you and what it does for your weight, speed and ammo. The Gear screen has two parts: Equipment and, if unlocked, the Workshop.
In the Equipment tab you see a summary of your total weight, your current speed percentage, and how much your cash weighs.
If you carry too much, an overweight warning appears and crimes and theft become harder. You have a maximum weight shown which you can carry, if the account reaches this weight you’ll be unable to buy ammo.
Equipped items shows all weapons and gear you have on you, including their type, weight, condition and repair cost. From here you can repair damaged items, as long as your repair cooldown allows it.
Ammo overview shows how many bullets are in the magazines of your equipped guns and how many magazines you have, plus how many loose bullets you carry.
Cash overview shows how much cash you are carrying and how much that cash adds to your total weight.
Special slots lets you assign certain inventory items to special slots. Equipped items in these slots give you extra benefits.
Inventory shows your small special items (such as watches, bags, coins and other valuables), how many you own, their condition, value, and whether they are equipped. From here you can sell unequipped items. A short note explains that you can equip items in special slots to activate their benefits, sell them on the marketplace, or store them in your accommodation to prevent theft.
Active benefits, if present, lists all bonuses that are currently active from your equipped items.
The workshop tab allows you to refine duplicate items. You can select an eligible item, see how many copies you have and how many are needed to upgrade. Items that do not have enough copies are shown as needing more. Successful upgrades consume unequipped base items and immediately grant you the improved version. The inventory overview under the workshop shows, for each item type, how many you own, how many are available for refining, what upgrade it can become, and whether it is ready to upgrade or still needs more copies.

Why does weight matter?
Your total carried weight affects your speed. Being too heavy makes certain actions, like crimes and theft, harder.
Why does cash have weight?
Cash in your pocket counts toward your total weight, just like items and bullets. Large amounts of cash can slow you down.
What does the overweight warning mean?
It means you are carrying more than is ideal. Your success chance on certain actions will be lower until you reduce your weight.
What is the difference between magazine bullets and loose ammo?
Magazine bullets are already loaded into your equipped guns. Loose ammo is carried separately and still adds to your total weight.
Why can’t I repair an item right now?
Repairs are on a cooldown. The message above your gear tells you how long you must wait before repairing another item.
What are special slots?
Special slots are extra item slots where you can equip certain inventory items to activate their bonuses. Unequipped copies do not provide benefits.
Why can’t I sell some items?
If an item is currently equipped in a special slot, it cannot be sold until you unequip it.
What does the Workshop do?
The workshop lets you refine multiple copies of the same item into an upgraded version. Only unequipped items can be used.
What does “Ready to upgrade” mean in the Workshop overview?
It means you own enough unequipped copies of that item to convert them into the upgraded version immediately and take profit of greater advantages.
