The Family Newsboard is the place where leadership talks to the whole crew. Think of it as the family bulletin board in the back room of the club: one place for updates, warnings, plans and internal drama. Every post you publish here is visible to all family members.
At the top of the page you see the editor. If you are a leader, you can write a new post or update an existing one. The large text area is where you type your message. You can write anything you want there: war updates, payment reminders, changes in leadership, recruitment rules, or simple morale boosts. When you are done, hit the publish button to send it to the board. The post will be saved with your name and the exact time so everyone knows who said what and when.
Sometimes you are not creating a new post, but editing an old one. In that case, the yellow bar at the top of the editor reminds you which post you are working on. It shows who originally wrote it and when it was posted. While that bar is visible, the editor is in update mode: if you save, you overwrite that existing post. If you change your mind and do not want to touch it, you can cancel editing. That resets the page and returns the editor to normal new post mode.
Every post in the list shows the author’s name and the timestamp. If a post was edited later, there is an extra edited line so readers know it has changed since the original version. The main text of the post keeps its original line breaks and spacing, so you can format longer announcements in a readable way.
Leaders also see controls on each post. Edit loads that specific post into the editor at the top so you can adjust the wording, fix mistakes or update information. Delete removes the post from the newsboard entirely after a confirmation. Regular members can only read; they never see the edit or delete buttons, and they cannot publish.
If the board is empty, the page shows a simple notice that there are no posts yet. As soon as you start posting, the newest entries appear at the top of the list. When there are many posts, the pagination buttons at the bottom let you move between pages. Prev and Next move you one page at a time. The numbered buttons jump directly to a specific page. The current page is highlighted so you always see where you are.

Who can post on the Family Newsboard?
Only family leaders can create, edit or delete posts. Regular family members can read everything but cannot publish or change anything.
What is the difference between creating and editing a post?
Creating makes a brand new message that appears at the top of the board. Editing reopens an existing post, lets you change the text, and then saves it again while keeping the same original thread, with an edited note and time.
How do I know if I am editing the right post?
When you are in edit mode, a yellow bar appears above the editor. It tells you who wrote the post and when it was first posted. As long as that bar is visible, the editor is linked to that specific post.
If I delete a post, is it gone for good?
Yes. Deleting a post removes it from the newsboard for everyone. The confirmation popup is the last stop; once you accept it, the post is gone.
Why do I see page numbers and a Prev or Next button at the bottom?
Those controls appear when your newsboard has more posts than fit on one page. Use the buttons to move through older or newer posts without losing the structure of the board.
