The Recovery Ward is the place the game sends you after things went very wrong. This page shows whether you’re in a coma, recovering, or fully stable again, plus exactly how long each phase will last. At the top you’ll always see one of three states: unconscious (coma, no actions at all), recovering (you can play, but with penalties), or back on your feet (no active penalties, just a warning that it can happen again).
The left card is your status overview. It shows your current health, whether a coma or recovery timer is running, when the next recovery “relief tick” will hit, and how long your temporary kill protection lasts. All those countdown labels update automatically, so you don’t have to guess when you can safely go back to serious work. The right card explains what those states mean in normal language: what you can and can’t do in coma, what recovery penalties actually do, and that you’re protected from fresh kill attempts for a fixed window after you go under.
Further down you get a timeline with exact timestamps: when the coma started, when it ends, when recovery begins and ends, and when your kill protection drops. That turns all those timers into a clear history of what happened to your character. If anything important happened around your coma (someone tried to rob you, shot at you, or other system alerts), those show up in the Recent alerts section.
FAQ
What’s the practical difference between coma and recovery?
In a coma you’re basically out cold: you can’t perform actions, crimes, jobs, nothing. You can only read and send messages and plan your return. In recovery you’re awake and can act again, but your stats are temporarily nerfed: success chances are worse, cooldowns feel heavier, and you take more damage if someone hits you. Over time those penalties shrink until you’re back to normal.
What does temporary kill protection actually protect me from?
Kill protection is a grace period that starts when the coma begins. During that window, other players can’t chain new kill attempts on you the moment you wake up. It doesn’t make you immortal forever, it just prevents immediate repeat executions while you’re already down and gives you time to regroup, move, or invest in better protection.
Do I have to click anything to heal faster or remove recovery?
No. Recovery in this ward is fully automatic. The page shows when the next relief tick is and when the whole recovery ends, but you don’t need to press a special “heal” button.
