This page is the city’s open contract board, the place where grudges turn into money. When you land here, you’ll either see a calm street with no active bounties or a busy lineup of names with cash pinned to them. The message at the top tells you immediately what kind of day it is. You’ll also notice a small warning about respect levels, because the system plays rough: a target with high respect becomes more expensive to mark, and someone who has fallen into negative respect becomes fair game and easier for detectives to track.
Every bounty shows the target, who started the trouble, how much the pot has grown, and how long it’s been sitting there. Opening a bounty reveals the full picture: the reasons people gave, the money they threw in, and the running total. Under that you can either add more fuel to the fire by increasing the reward, or you can buy off the entire thing if you’re the one being hunted. It’s all handled right inside the expanded panel.
At the bottom of the page you’ll find the form for placing a fresh bounty. You choose the gangster, tell the system why you’re setting the price, add your amount, and the city takes it from there. Just remember: if the target has 80% respect or higher, your placement cost jumps. The page warns you, but the final choice is yours.
FAQ
Why does placing a bounty sometimes cost more than the amount I type?
Because the target has at least 80% respect. High-respect gangsters require a 50% placement tax.
Why are some targets marked as disgraced?
Those with negative respect fall into the disgraced category. They’re cheaper to track and have no placement tax.
Can I remove a bounty placed on me?
Yes. Open your own bounty’s details and use the buy-off option. You’ll need to pay double the total reward to clear it.
